“A little child having fun with a big child.” In this way, we could describe the relationship between Richard Lazzini, aged 10, and Alexander Calder, an accomplished artist. Both have long played at creating objects that fly, that are colored, that are magical… The big child told the little child about the emptiness, the fullness, the lead, the round shapes in the air. Over time, these moments became beautiful and distant memories in Richard’s mind until the day when, after 25 years spent working in a sound studio, a desire arose: to play once again… like butterflies released from a memory, his first mobiles were born. « Un petit enfant s’amusant avec un grand enfant ». Ainsi pourrait-on décrire la relation qui unissait Richard Lazzini, 10 ans, et Alexandre Calder, artiste accompli. Tous deux ont longtemps joué à créer des objets volants, colorés, magiques… Et le grand enfant racontait au petit le vide, le plein, le plomb, la ronde des formes dans l’air. Avec le temps, ces scènes sont devenues de beaux et lointains souvenirs dans l’esprit de Richard. Jusqu’au jour où, après 25 ans passés dans un studio son, une envie l’a traversé : celle de jouer à nouveau… Ainsi sont nés ses premiers mobiles, papillons sortis de sa mémoire, que gagne chaque jour une étrange métamorphose.
